We recently stayed in a studio at Thurnham Hall for two days and had a brilliant experience. The studio had everything we needed. It was spacious, comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. Also enjoyed using the spa facilities (gym, swimming pool, sauna). Art at reception was really welcoming, helpful, and friendly. We needed a few things during our stay, and through the text service I contacted Art, who responded right away and took care of everything efficiently. When one of our heaters stopped working, reception resolved it promptly. This is a really peaceful and beautiful place and we will definitely be back again.
We stayed here for the 2nd year running for our family girly weekend. We stayed in 3 apartments, which again catered for our needs. Rooms always very clean and tidy. Pool area not very big and could be improved but did not affect our pleasure time here. A walk down the lane to St Thomas and St Elizabeth Church is a must! Would like to visit the chapel on site on my next visit.
I would describe this place as a hidden gem. We dined in the Lemon Tree restaurant last night and it was great. The food was perfectly cooked. The garlic bread and pasta were outstanding. The atmosphere was spot on with live music providing a chilled vibe. It's in a great location being close to places like Lancaster, the Lake District and Blackpool. The service provided by staff was also really good and they were very hospitable. The hotel is set in a picturesque location that I'm sure looks great in every season. There is a large carpark with plenty of parking spaces. They building itself looks really grand. I would highly recommend this venue.
What a lovely stay we had, we booked one night, but then extended our stay for an extra night, stunning hotel, hall and the grounds were well maintained, pretty to walk around. The staff couldn’t do enough, extremely accommodating and friendly. We will certainly be returning again! Thankyou to all the staff at Thurnham hall for make our stay an enjoyable one!
We stayed here for 4 nights. Was such a beautiful place to stay. Very tranquil. Ideal for exploring the area. Staff were exceptional and we have to mention the maintenance team - we did have an issue in our apartment but the maintenance staff were very proactive, solved the issue same day and couldn't have done more to help! (This team probably go unsung hence the comments!)
Amazing place to stay. Great accommodation, great services, great price. We only stayed one night, at the last minute, as a place to break the drive from Edinburgh down south but would have happily stayed longer. We booked a 2 bedroomed apartment, which was fantastic. Two great bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining and living areas and a balcony. It had everything you need and was sparkling clean. The staff were extremely helpful and organized an early check-in and made sure we were well looked after. Highly recommended.
This is a great hotel resort! Massive suits and lodges in the forest. The rooms are clean and tidy and the suites are massive with big open rooms. The staff are friendly and help with any needs. There is a great inside pool to enjoy, if you want a simple swim or family swim, there's always a time of the day for you. No worry about trying to park as there are tons of spaces, and it's free! 10/10 hotel!
Gorgeous 12th century Hall, with many original features retained so you really get a sense of the history. Wonderful welcome at reception where we were greeted warmly and our room was rearranged efficiently as we do both have some mobility issues. We were offered a huge suite in the main Hall on the first floor. This was impressive, large, two bedrooms and bathrooms, a full and well equipped kitchen. Everything you need other than your own food and personal items. Even salt, tea, and sugar for the coffee maker or kettle. These rooms have outstanding country park views and on a clear day you really can see the sea glittering in the distance. We loved strolling the grounds as the duck pond is beautiful and there are comfortable chairs everywhere. The grounds are spectacular even in late winter and we are returning in April to enjoy the spring foliage. That's how much we enjoyed our stay.
